In this episode Peter and Tom interview artist, Rodney Kingston. Rodney studied at Wimbledon School of Art and Camberwell College of Art, before embarking on a career as a graphic designer.
For the past 10 years or so, Rodney has been painting more and more alongside his employment, before taking the plunge about 12 months ago, to pursue his career as an Artist, full time.
In the first part of the episode, Rodney talks us through his background and some of the factors which led up to his decision 12 months ago. He shares insightful advice and guidance about what he learnt from working as a graphic designer, how he planned and prepared and how that has helped him to run his business today.
In the second part of the episode, Rodney openly shares some of the triumphs and also some of the challenges of becoming a full-time Artist. As we wrap up the episode, we hear what Rodney has planned for the future and what advice he would give to those in a similar position, who are considering taking that plunge!
